Anahit is an experienced management consultant with more than 15 years of experience in strategy, corporate finance and corporate education. She works as an Expert partner in Civitta, her previous experience includes Monitor Group and Ernst & young.
Describe a time when you helped someone improve their skills or knowledge significantly. What was your strategy?
I have acted as development advisor to a number of people in my career. To help someone grow quickly the best way was 1) to assess the necessary skills needed for the assignment / career growth, 2) understand how the person's knowledge matches the skills and what is the path to go, 3) understand the natural strength of the person (for example finance and marketing) and build on it. As for the learning path itself, the most efficient way is to combine relevant project experience, self-learning / official training programs and peer to peer coaching.
What methods do you use to stay updated with the latest trends in business and consulting?
As a management consultant I actively follow what are the current challenges our clients face and how they can be addressed. In addition I attend industry conferences and follow business publications on the latest developments.
